I really don’t know. But I saw this vid, which made it seem plausible (oh the power of one-sided media).

I accept the plausibility of it and would like to learn more, but from a cursory glance, a seasoned political observer knows by now that contributions can come from everywhere and anywhere, and it’s easy to mask the source, or only look at one donor. It’s also easy to bolt on bullshit legislation onto any other unrelated legislation. Case in point: Both Obama and Bush/McCain shot down bills supporting troop body armor. Standard political play: You don’t support the troops. Reality: Relative bullshit was stapled onto the bill which made it unfeasible for either party.
