Another One Bites the Dust

Another guy dies in a US immigration cell after guards refuse medical attention – turns out he had terminal cancer, oops! I’ve been getting annoying comments lately talking about human rights violations abroad, particularly with the Olympics in session, but these very same commentators seem to have no idea, or little regard, for violations at home. Sure they happen with less frequency, we can assume anyway, who knows with Guantanamo running for the past x years, but the hypocrisy, oh so irritating.

Soon, according to court papers, he had to rely on other detainees to help him reach the toilet, bring him food and call his family; he no longer received painkillers, because he could not stand in line to collect them. On July 26, Andy Wong, a lawyer associated with Mr. Cox, came to see the detainee, but had to leave without talking to him, he said, because Mr. Ng was too weak to walk to the visiting area, and a wheelchair was denied.
